31 & Main Farmers Market at Campus Town – Not Just a Market…A Community Awakening!!

Ewing, NJ – August 14, 2018— The College of New Jersey’s Campus Town [GPS address: 1928 Pennington Road/Route 31] invites the public, this Sunday, August 19th to Health & Wellness Day the third of five community events folded into this year’s 31&Main Farmers Market line up.

31&Main Farmers Market will feature its usual high-quality produce, farm fresh artisan products, live entertainment by the Darla Rich Jazz Trio and the promotion of family, community and healthy living. “We are witnessing the community’s buy-in to the Healthy Sundays concept of using the farmers marketplace, as a venue where families can fellowship with their community while planning delicious, healthy and colorful meals for the week.” says Leslie Summiel, Jr. owner of Mercer CAN – a local project management and marketing firm who manages various events for Campus Centers LLC.”

Campus Centers LLC, an affiliate of The PRC Group based in Long Branch, New Jersey wants the residents and businesses of Ewing Township and its surrounding communities to know that the Shoppes at Campus Town is a shared community resource. The residents of Ewing as well as the students and faculty of TCNJ are year- round stakeholders of the Campus Town development. The three-year-old college town center’s continued growth is a great benefit to the Township. The Shoppes at Campus Town are open throughout the summer months even while the campus is on summer recess. Each of the Campus Town stores are open throughout the week and each will be a part of the Sunday farmers market line up. The Shoppes at 31&Main include Red Berry Frozen Yogurt and Smoothie Bar, Panera Bread, Piccolo Pronto, Lion Dog, Empower Yoga, Insomnia Cookies, Mexican Mariachi Grill, Yummy Sushi, Infocus Health Center, Hair Worx, Post Net, Verizon Wireless, as well as Barnes ‘n Nobles. Campus Town new comers Fruita Bowls, Namaste Indian Cuisine and Land Mark Americana Bar & Grill are slated to open in the coming months. “It is very exciting to see the transformation of campus town into a community marketplace. We want the best outcomes for all involved. Our Campus Town store owners know and appreciate the value of Ewing’s residential population. On market dates our stores will be offering free product samples and will be open for business!” says Greg Lentine, Campus Town’s Vice President.

This year’s market includes a variety of conventional and organic fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, honey, mushrooms, cheese and garlic from their new and returning vendors: Harris Family Farms, Z- Food Farm, Pineland Farms and Pleasant Valley Garlic Farms. There will also be healthy living activities by Empower Yoga, PEAC Fitness and other local community groups including UIH Family Partners, Capital Health and NJ Horizon Health Care.

The market will be open 12noon – 4pm rain or shine on the following Sunday dates August 19, September 23, and October 21. Each date will correspond to an awesome community event such as: Healthy Sundays, Family Fun Day, and the annual Fall Festival, respectively.
