MOST FAVORITE BEACHES are in LBI – WHY? LBI does not have a homogenized beachfront of highrise hotels and there are not endless areas of the island filled with chain stores, franchise restaurants, or brand named motels.
The island boasts many different communities that each have their own personalities. This means you can travel to different parts of Long Beach Island and find places that have their own special features and distinctive charm! IN FACT they have 16 Communities on an Island that is only, at the widest point – 18-miles-long!
Beach Haven Crest * Beach Haven Gardens * Beach Haven Inlet * Beach Haven Park * Beach Haven Terrace * Brant Beach * Brighton Beach * Haven Beach * Holgate * Loveladies * North Beach * North Beach Haven * Peahala Park * South Beach Haven * Spray Beach * The Dunes
SO HOW DID WE DECIDE WHO TO BUZZ ABOUT? It all started with a Sharks. Beach Haven is RICH with history and is a late 19th century beach-front resort originally established in 1873. TO GET THE local gossip within these old Historic Homes, you can take a wonderful House Tour through the Long Beach Island Museum. IF THAT ISN’T ENOUGH and you like Pirates, Shipwrecks and Treasures…then of course there is the Maritime Museum –ONLY Museum about New Jersey Shipwrecks!
