The Arts Council of Princeton will host its annual Fall Open House on Saturday, September 10 from 1-3pm. This free, family-friendly event is an ideal opportunity for visitors of all ages to learn about the Arts Council’s fall classes, workshops, community programs, events, membership, volunteer opportunities, and meet ‘n greet instructors.
Highlights of this year’s Open House include an interactive community mural, the Paul Robeson Center Treasure Hunt and live performances by Lisa Botalico’s Fiesta Flameca. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet instructors who will conduct demos and workshops in various mediums – including drawing, painting, jewelry, photography, dance, digital arts, and more. All are invited to enjoy drinks and snacks from event sponsors Bai and Chez Alice Catering Company, and dessert from Nina’s Waffles will be available for purchase.
“Our Open House is one of the highlights of the year for the Arts Council of Princeton. It’s a unique opportunity for us to share with the community the diverse selection of programming we offer. Beyond classes, camps and workshops, we have an award-winning gallery, we are an intimate concert venue and we host community events such as Princeton’s Halloween Parade, the Day of the Dead celebration, MLK Day and much more,” said Executive Director, Jeff Nathanson, “I look forward to meeting new families and seeing familiar faces.”
During the Open House, the Arts Council’s award-winning Taplin Gallery will be open to view the Annual Member Exhibition. Each year, talented member-artists of all ages contribute their work to this exhibition. On view through October 1, are invited to attend the Opening Reception for the Annual Members Exhibition immediately following the Open House from 3-5pm.
