The Arts Council of Princeton Summer Courtyard Concert Series presents Trinidelphia

July 6, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

PRINCETON, NJ – The Arts Council of Princeton, in partnership with the Princeton Shopping Center and Edens, presents Trinidelphia on July 6 at 6 p.m. in the Princeton Shopping Center, 301 North Harrison Street, Princeton, NJ.

Trinidelphia has been pleasing audiences with their distinct combination of American and Caribbean styles since 2005. Fusing Trinidadian Soca and Calypso with Latin Jazz, Reggae, Salsa, and American top-40, they have developed a sound all their own over the past decade.

Their unique and rhythmic arrangements of jazz and popular songs cast the steelpan in fresh new light, pushing the stylistic and artistic boundaries of an often type-cast instrument. Steel Pannist/Trumpeter Chris Aschman, Lead Vocalist/Guitarist Shawn Hennessey, Bassist Ian Rafalak, and Drummer Joe Truglio each bring their own unique “voice” to help add to the ensemble’s unique chemistry.

Concerts will be held rain or shine; bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the case of rain, concerts will be held indoors at the Arts Council’s Pop-Up Studio in the Shopping Center. Ample parking is available at the Princeton Shopping Center.

For more information and a full listing of concerts through August 24, 2017, visit artscouncilofprinceton.org or call 609-924-8777.
